The island of Corfu is the best known of the seven Ionian islands that lie off the north-west coast of Greece, with popular resorts such as Paleokastritsa, Kavos and Sidari. Families find Corfu appealing, with its safe beaches, resorts and hotels with plenty of convenient facilities.
