The beautiful town of Sami is situated on the northeast coast of Kefalonia, 20 miles from the airport. Myrtos beach is the most famous beach on Kefalonia and has been voted one of the most beautiful in Europe. The beach is a huge sweep of white limestone set a kilometre down from the road and is exceptionally breathtaking. Myrtos Beach is reached via a winding road that does become very busy during the summer. After a day enjoying the lovely weather, why not take a seat at one of the tavernas situated on the waterfront promenade. Sit here with a refreshing cocktail and enjoy the exquisite view of the sunset.
